First day back at University!

Technically I don’t have class until tomorrow but all of Industrial Design had a school meeting and we got to mingle with new students and meet our studio professors.

However, I did manage to find my PSYC class’s course outline on the school website and read through it (because I’m a keener, nurh) and noticed that we have to write an essay worth 15% of our overall mark. And I’m already freaking out because I haven’t written an essay in over a year and I dunno if I can do it…. Ah! In high school I sort of liked writing essays, I always got very good marks on them but I’m out of practice and University essays are nothing like high school and and and.

And I haven’t even had my first class yet, so I’m going to calm down.

I got to school super early before the meeting, did a few preparation errands and then;
I spent 3.5 hours chilling on a couch in the University center drawing and sketching, making lists and planning, while listening to industrial music from a dinky no-name MP3 player. I felt very content. I just need to find an agenda now so I can stay on track.

I’ve even started making notes on the first chapter of my Mass Productions text book.

Second year, here I come.
